Analogue House

Analogue House began as part of my own process of grief. For a period of time, the building was a squat I occupied while navigating profound loss. What began as shelter gradually became relationship. The act of restoring and caring for an ageing nineteenth century property unfolded alongside the work of restoring and healing parts of myself. It is a space renovated with what I found on nature strips, op shops and garage sales. As walls were repaired and light returned to neglected rooms, something similar was happening internally.Over time, the space shifted from being a private container for grief to something I feel ready to share. Analogue House as a physical space will shortly be offered as a therapeutic environment. It's not a clinical fit out. It reflects a belief in working with what you have and tending to it with patience, honesty, and respect. Just like healing it's not curated or perfect but doesn't mean you can't make something truly special. This therapeutic space is an offering to the the sex work community, where too many barriers continue to exist to authentic and responsive care. It is a community this work was a catalyst for, and one I have long been connected to in my own right. This is a starting point. Analogue House is intended to evolve over time in response to the people who enter it and contribute to its shaping. Like the building itself, it will continue to grow, adapt, and be renewed through relationship.

Professional Background

I am an endorsed Mental Health Occupational Therapist with experience across mainstream clinical and forensic settings. I provide assessment and therapy under a Mental Health Care Plan, through NDIS where appropriate, or privately.I am currently undertaking a Master’s in End of Life and Palliative Care, deepening my interest in grief, mortality, meaning, and the human experience at points of transition.

Clinical and Lived Experience

Alongside formal training, I bring lived experience of complex trauma. For many years I lived with chronic suicidality. From the outside I appeared capable and high functioning, yet internally much of my life was organised around survival. Burnout felt normal. Coping strategies felt like personality.A profound grief later entered my life and exposed the deeper survival patterns that had shaped me long before that loss. What followed was a sustained period of personal and professional reckoning. Over the past three years I have undertaken intensive work that reshaped how I understand trauma and how I practice.I now carry lived experience not only of trauma, but of healing. I did not always know it was possible to experience myself in ways that were not structured around survival. I now know that meaningful change is possible. Recovery from complex trauma is not linear and it is not cosmetic, but deep shifts can occur.

Therapeutic Approach

My work is grounded in trauma informed and somatic frameworks. I pay close attention to the body, the nervous system, and the subtle ways survival patterns shape daily life. As an occupational therapist, I remain evidence based and function focused, integrating practical skill building with an understanding that insight alone is rarely sufficient for change. This approach is not passive. Healing can be confronting and at times uncomfortable. It asks for participation and honesty. My role is to share skills, build capacity, and walk alongside people as they develop tools that support sustainable change. If this resonates, you may have found a place that fits.
